I’m Matt, I started nanolific to further my passion of keeping and breeding smaller aquarium fish. As a kid my favorite fish were tetras and live bearers and I kept a couple tanks in my teens and early twenties. Since my passion for the hobby has been rekindled I’ve quickly gravitated towards killies, psuedomugils (blue-eyes), and medaka ricefish. I have the privilege of staying home with our son and sharing the joy of fish keeping with him. There’s nothing like the atmosphere of a fish room to calm a fussy baby!

nanolific’s goal is to spawn, breed and raise fish in a small-scale boutique style, focusing on fish suitable for smaller aquariums, nano tanks and aqua-scapes. nanolific is solely a home bred operation and does not resell wholesale or imported fish. Quality genetics and fish care is the number one priority at nanolific with an end goal to provide the hardiest and healthiest fish available. nanolific is currently focused on medaka ricefish, pseudomugils, killifish, endler livebearers, smaller tetras, and rasboras, as well as freshwater snails and neocaridina shrimp.
